Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Simulator PDF Print E-mail

Our top-of-the-line UAV training system consists of an External Pilot Training Station (EPTS), an Internal Crew Training Station (ICTS) and a Field Training Unit (FTU).

The External Pilot Training Station trains the external pilot in the take-off-and landing of the UAV via an actual UAV Flight Control box. The external pilot trainee navigates the aerial vehicle in a high fidelity, realistic 3D simulated visual display system.

For Internal Crew training, we provide two embedded simulation training solutions – a configurable Internal Crew Training Station (ICTS) for use in bases and a mobile Field Training Unit (FTU) to support training in the field.

The Internal Crew Training Station replicates the functions of the Ground Receiving Station and can operate in tandem with the External Pilot Training Station to facilitate training of handover procedures. The External Pilot Training Station and Internal Crew Training Station may operate in either cooperative or independent modes.

The mobile Field Training Unit uses powerful military grade computers to simulate the telemetry and sensor data from the UAV. The mobile Field Training Unit is connected to the Ground Control Station to provide embedded training to the crew in the field.

A fully featured instructor station plans, monitors and records the training exercises. This station controls the terrain data base, environment conditions and allows insertion of malfunctions on-the-fly. It also records the exercise for after mission review and analysis, thereby accelerating and enhancing the skills of the crew in operation of the UAV.
