The Prescient Networked Digital Data Link (NDDL) unit employs state of the art Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology with Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components and our unique self-organising networking algorithms to provide an integrated tactical local data network solution for aviation applications.<\/p>\n

\nThis technology is the cornerstone of many key data link systems in development and early deployment, such as the US' Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) . The NDDL presents a high performance yet cost-effective alternative based on COTS technologies which allows for rapid deployment and incorporation.<\/p>\n
\nThe Prescient NDDL maximizes the use of standard industry-grade components, coupled with modern design methodologies and manufacturing concepts, resulting in a product that is reliable, flexible and yet easy to maintain.<\/p>\n
\nUsing an external synchronization signal (e.g. GPS PPS), the module can be implemented as a tactical network data link using a Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) protocol. In addition to the advanced RF Modulation\/ demodulation features, high performance hardware such as Digital Signal Processors (DSP) and high density Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) provide tremendous processing power that allows digital filters, Forward Error Correction (FEC) and Digital Down Conversion (DDC) to be performed effortlessly within this single module.
\nThe result is a Network Radio with a system performance that is superior to those based on traditional analog receiver design architectures.<\/p>\n
