Clark Institute of Aviation (Philippines)

Teaming up with International Aviation Group, Prescient Systems & Technologies set up a new entity, Alpha Aviation Group (AAG), to manage and increase throughput in aviation training centres in Asia and the Middle East, starting its inaugural training centre in the Philippines.

Founded in 2006, Clark Institute of Aviation ("Clark") is an aviation training solution provider located at Clark Freeport Zone (the former Clark Airbase) in Pampanga, Philippines.

The aviation academy trains commercial pilots for major airlines in the Philippines and around the world. It has the capacity to train 280 pilot cadets annually. Utilising a complete suite of Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) compliant Synthetic Training Devices (STD), including an A320 Level D Full Flight Simulator, the aviation training centre will train pilots according to the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) new Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL). This new licensing system focuses on training pilots for a multi-crew environment on a sophisticated modern aircraft.  The Aviation Training Centers will utilize a mix of classroom, simulator, trainer aircraft and practical training to allow their trainees to achieve the MPL certification in 12 months.  This will allow carriers to seamlessly induct graduates of the centres as co-pilots in their fleets. Clark graduates will thus be able to co-pilot A320 aircraft for airlines. The reduction in the duration of training required will help to alleviate the regional shortage of trained pilots.

Prescient has supplied the following simulators & trainers to this academy:

  • A320 Level D Full Flight Simulator (FFS)
  • Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) Flight Trainer
  • A320 Instrument Proficiency Trainer (IPT)
